John, Linda, Megan, and Justin met us for our 2nd annual “catch-up dinner.” John and Linda’s kids have grown up to be quite pleasant. I find that somewhat surprising, because 15 years ago it wasn’t clear if John could raise a puppy, let alone a baby. As it turned out, the kids are so cute and nice you just want to reach over and squeeze their little cheeks. The pictures below link to the photo album:

How the Other Side Thinks
As discussed in an earlier post, not everyone believes the Prevention of Farm Animal Cruelty Act (Prop 2 on November’s ballot) is worthwhile. A spokesperson for one such group has stated why and how they plan to beat the measure in November.
Scott Macdonald from the so-called Californians for Sound Farm Animal Agriculture (CSFAA) states: “These kinds of decisions should be made by veterinarians, scientists and animal welfare experts – not at the ballot box,” and CSFAA must “de-emotionalize” the issue through consumer education efforts.
